Carter Shelton is a recent graduate of Mercer University where he studied Biomedical Engineering. During his time in college, he was very involved in RUF, the Admissions Department, and Intramurals (he won almost every intermural and has a large collection of victor t-shirts!). Carter's end goal is to become a dentist, but before attending dental school, he decided he wanted to serve in a student ministry at a church. He spent his college years attending North Macon and loves the community there.
Hello all! What an awesome summer it was!? I say that and you may wonder, why was it so awesome? Well...the Lord provided through the difficulty and uncertainty of 2020. NMPC Student Ministry made some of the best memories. As Georgia was a little more lenient on group sizes and protocols, we were able to meet somewhat regularly in person, with PPE, and enjoy some summer fun. We got to utilize RYM's Virtual Conference, which provoked many incredible small group discussions and ideas for future conversations.
Another personal update: I got married! Margaret and I prayed all spring semester and summer that the Lord would allow for our wedding to occur in the midst of COVID - 19, and he was so gracious to allow that to happen. It was a wonderful event and we are so grateful to everyone who participated whether they were in person or celebrating from afar. Margaret and I have moved back to Macon, GA. She is working from home and I am working at the Church. Since she is involved with the Staff of RYM and has a heart for youth ministry, she shares a lot of the same passions I do and works hard with me at NMPC.
Please continue to pray for me and the rest of NMPC as we enter into a new school year. Pray for those who have lost family members, that they may find peace and hope in Christ. Pray for those who have recently entered our student ministry that they may see the love of Christ. Pray for me and our staff as we continue to do ministry during this crazy time.
Thank you for your continued support - it is truly incredible to be working here and using my hands and feet to do the work of the Lord.
