Teachers, Schedules & Classes

Sample Schedules from YLT 2018
Year 1/2/3 does not correlate to a leader's experience in ministry.  In addition to a number of seminars, electives, & discussion groups, YLT trains leaders in a particular philosophy of ministry over the course of time.  "Year 1" designates a leader's first time at YLT and "Year 2" their second, etc.  This means that during some of the courses during the week, leaders will be divided into three separate groups.  The rest of the time we are together.

What is YLT?

Youth Leader Training (YLT) provides a venue for those who minister to youth in the context of the local church to gather for a week of rich content, real connection, and refreshing encouragement.
YLT is ideal for those who are new to youth ministry and may feel like they are "shooting from the hip" as well as for seasoned veterans who can pour into younger leaders and who may need encouragement and refreshment from the Gospel.  YLT is ideal for all youth workers (ordained or not; full time or part time; volunteer or paid staff; male or female) who desire to think Biblically, theologically and strategically in community about ministry to youth and families.
God's blessing has been evident at YLT for over ten years as we have seen youth leaders find greater encouragement in the gospel, grow in their understanding of ministry, and develop the bonds of friendship with other youth leaders around a shared philosophy of ministry.
