Church Internship Program

The RYM Church Internship Program is a two-year apprenticeship in partnering local churches for men and women considering a call to ministry.

Interns

The Church Internship Program (CIP) serves, encourages, and trains men and women in the legitimacy and merits of long-term ministry to youth and families. Church Interns gain practical ministry experience, biblical and theological education, and a proven philosophy of ministry that is applicable in whatever church they may go on to serve in the future.

Churches

The CIP invites local churches to play an integral role in developing future ministry leaders as interns are shaped through participation in the life of their church and training by RYM in the philosophy and practice of youth ministry. The cost-sharing structure of the program can provide churches an affordable opportunity to begin or expand their ministry efforts to youth and families.

Kingdom Impact

The CIP seeks to strategically address twin realities facing churches today:
1. The mission of the Church to reach and equip the next generation for Christ is becoming more challenging and all the more urgent
2. It is getting harder and harder to find capable, willing, and trained people to serve in youth ministry

Future Leaders

Tomorrow's church leaders are being cultivated today, as the CIP affirms that youth ministry is a wonderful, sustainable, and viable vocation for life. While not all Church Interns go on to work in a church, it is often through serving in ministry that one senses a call from the Lord and is able to confirm that call with others in the Church. The CIP provides a perfect opportunity to begin that process and explore the satisfaction and long-term viability of a life in ministry.
