RYM Summer Conference Overview

Our Heartbeat:

RYM deeply cares about students and we long for them to believe in, cling to, and live out the gospel of Jesus Christ - a gospel which tells us about Jesus’ unrelenting love which is able to sustain us through all of life, and which is at work to make all things new. This is the heartbeat of RYM.

Our Goal:

We strive to serve the Church through summer conferences which are God-centered, Word-driven, and Gospel-focused. Our goal is to provide a space where local churches from around the nation can gather together for worship, fellowship, and fun. We believe that this is a time in which you will be encouraged and challenged by the Word of God, grow closer together as the body of Christ, and enjoy times of fun and fellowship.

Our Distinctives:

For almost 50 years, RYM has been committed to applying God’s Word specifically to students’ current cultural contexts. We prioritize Scripture-saturated teaching through daily large group worship services, elective seminars, small groups, and devotionals - and we aim at the heart. RYM brings local church groups together to listen to, learn about, and live out God’s Word. We believe that God uses the Church in a unique way as the community of believers who are called to build each other up in the Christian faith.

We hope you will join us at an RYM Summer Conference this year!

Conference FAQs:

Q: What grade does my student have to be in to attend?

A: Students who are going into 6th grader through recently graduated seniors are welcome to join us.

Q: What are the sleeping arrangements at each facility?

A: While each location is different, RYM strives to create safe and healthy living and sleeping environments for all attendees. Rooms can sleep anywhere from 4 people to 60 people, but most rooms accommodate around 6-12 people. Please feel free to reach out about a specific location.

Q: How many chaperones do I have to bring?

A: RYM does not have a required number, but we recommend a ratio of around one chaperone for every six students. (You are welcome to bring more or less, but this is a pretty good number in our experience.)

Q: What sort of activities are available at RYM Conferences?

A: Again, each location has specific recreational opportunities, but RYM provides sports tournaments and other structured free-time activities which are meant to be fun and provide fellowship for your groups. Every location has access to pools, basketball courts, volleyball courts, gaga-ball pits, kan-jam, spikeball, and many other activities! For more information, see each specific conference page.

Q: What sort of food accommodations do the facilities provide?

A: Each facility does their best to accommodate food allergies and major dietary requests. Gluten, Nut, Dairy, and other common allergies will be accommodated to the best of their abilities. Please alert us if you have any severe or pressing needs.

Q: Is there anything the leaders need to do or have before coming to RYM?

A: In an effort to increase and maximize the safety of everyone present, ALL leaders and chaperones must pass national background checks and specialized safety training in order to attend any of our RYM conferences.

Q: What should my group pack for a week at an RYM Conference?

A: For a week at RYM, we would recommend bringing: bedding (sleeping bag or bed sheets/blankets), a pillow, towel (bath and/or beach), appropriate swim-wear (modest one piece or tankini for girls, modest length and fit suit for guys), a Bible, pen/notebook/journal, refillable water bottle, rain jacket, close-toed shoes, sandals/shower shoes, personal toiletries, flashlight/headlamp, extra spending money (for additional snacks, book table, RYM merchandise, and several optional paid activities).
